I have been learning to round numbers up to one thousand from one hundred. 

it is best to round from tens not one and not hundreds. 

When I started rounding I found it a bit tricky but in the end I did it.

My Kitten - Draft Writing

My family pet is a kitten called Zoe. 

Zoe loves to run around the house and attack our hands and feet. 

I think Zoe is the second best cat I know, the best cat I know is  Naki my old cat that had pretty ginger stripes, it was a boy.

Last Funky Friday on the 28.2.2020 at 1.45pm it was Te Manga’s Class Assembly. There were actors, actresses, teachers smiling, audience laughing and the children of Paparore school! We danced in with the cat-walk. It was almost time for my turn. I got prepared, put my glasses on and got sauted. That was when I got butterflies in my stomach and felt really nervous. Finally the time came, it was my turn to shine.  My group went out and I did my part, my part was playing as the teacher. At the last part of my groups turn we all had to say make sure your in the right place at the right time online!!! When Tuva-Lisa said make sure you always follow the Kawa of Care!!! Our whole class had to say Kawa of Care and do our super hero pose when Tuva-Lisa said Kawa of Care. After the assembly I felt so proud of myself. 

A-Z Water Conservation

WALT an A-Z about conserving water. I used a pamphlet to find key words to add to my A-Z. There is a drought in New Zealand. When you use water from the tap you have to make sure it's off properly and don't use the tap for long. Everyone has to save water in Northland so we all can have water.

Sea Week 2020

WALT use a website to find out information about the sea during Sea Week. The site is

On Sea Week I learnt why our seas are so special to us and why we need to care for our seas. We all had to check-out the cool website called the Young Ocean Explorers. The interesting thing that I have learnt that Fish has scales for many reasons. I found challenging finding a picture of different sea creatures.
