I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

Keep New Zealand Beautiful
On the 22.09.2020 Te Kauru, Te Puawai, Te Manga had a hikoi to Lake Ngatu to plant with the help of Department Of Conservation and did a clean up on the track.
All of Te Kauru, Te Puawai, Te Manga got to plant atleast one plant. There were only these native trees Kanuka and Manuka.
We all learnt to use caring for our environment by cleaning our lake and looking after it.
What I really enjoyed learning about planting is that all of us can learn how to use partnership by helping each-other plant.
Here is an example of what I mean, I could not take a Manuka out of the pot and Kaydee taught me how to do that.

- Unwanted Visitors
Activity 1
Use the article to answer the following questions:
1. What could tramping boots, dairy products and even honey contain? They can hide species that might harm the environment.
2. Unwanted pests, weeds and diseases endanger New Zealand’s plants and animals. Find evidence to support this view. Pests are animals that cause some kind of harm. Weeds are plants that are grown in places where they are not allowed to grow. Bacteria are caused by diseases, viruses and fungi.
