WALT use descriptive vocabulary to describe a moment in time.
Me and my friends are in this beautiful turquoise water with the sparkling sun diving into the water. The rocks are razor sharp and are really jagged.
I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

Haiku Poems
What I have learnt about Haiku poems is that all of them has to have five syllables on the first line and seven syllables in the middle. They are usually about animals and nature. This is a sample of what a haiku poem really is.
The Striped Invader
WALT find out some interesting facts and information about wasps. I have learnt that if there was no Queen there will be no life for the wasps. I have found all of the information from a book on my class site. I think the thing that I did well is doing all the facts about wasps. The thing that I found tricky was making the life cycle on my slide. I think I could of added a bit more detail in my slide. You can still look at my slide though.
please comment on my slide.

collar feral microchip popular protect neutered birds endangered
Cats are one of New Zealand’s most popular pets. They provide company and comfort to many people, but they can also be killers. They catch small animals, and birds, and don’t care if the bird is a common sparrow or an endangered black robin. There are three kinds of cats; companion cats, stray cats and feral cats. People have thought of many other ways to help protect our native birds and animals from cats. One idea is to put a collar which contains all the owner’s details in all cats. This means that if someone finds a lost cat it can be returned home and will not become part of the stray cat population. Other ideas are keeping cats indoors when possible; having cats neutered to stop them having too many kittens; putting a microchip and bell on every cat and making sure all cats are well-fed and cared for.

Elephant Passion Project
I have been searching up a lot of things about elephants.
I have also asked my family if they want to learn something about elephants.
I have chose elephants for my passion project because they are my favourite animal and because I wanted to learn more about them.
